A new EP by the band Fire Mountain will be released tomorrow. I recently heard a cover of Hank Williams - I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry by these guys and was BLOWN AWAY! So to be honest, I had to Google what Bandar Log means... well thanks to WIKI, here it is - In Hindi, Bandar means 'monkey' and log means 'people'. So The Monkey People were live in The Brick Room a little while ago and bam, they are definitely an awesome bunch of musicians. They drove over from Auburn with their "Grandpa Guitars" as they put it and rocked these 3 tunes... They were so fun to be around afterwards we went and had beers at a local hangout BUDS.. drank a few Sweetwater 420's and talked shop with the Guys,The Bandar-Log has a record out AK-747 which actually was top 100 album artworks of 2010.. sweet. Thanks Guys for Driving all the way to Pratt-vegas, and a Special thanks to Adam Loftin for helping me film these vids.

I've added a new feature where you can stream all of your favorite songs in the radio. Look beside your Favorite Songs in your profile and you'll see the link to "Play All" or go to your Favorite Songs section in your account. You can also play other users favorite songs too. Here's mine. This is one of those features we always wanted to add but just didn't have time to before we launched. More to come. David

SXSW 2012 - Live in Austin TX

SO, We have decided to take a road trip next march to Austin, TX. Why? Don't be stupid... that is where South By Southwest (sxsw) is held. The Coolest Music conference in the world. my opinion.. and how do I know this? Back in the TRUSTcompany day, our very first major label show was in Austin During SXSW at STUBBS BBQ... yes the same BBQ sauce you get at the store, well they have a killer Restaurant with a music venue out back. it can hold like 3 or 4 thousand people. That night on the bill was opener 30 seconds to Mars, TRUSTcompany and Puddle of Mudd. The Show was unforgettable! To this day I always wanted to go back there and experience it without the hassle of being in a band and having to have to be somewhere and leave right after the show.. so Next year David, Asheley, Myself and whoever else we can get to tag along, will make a trip in a van from Alabama to Texas where we will document the journey and we will be doing mini acoustic sessions with some awesome Indie bands. SO if you know of any bands that will be there.. let me know Josh@MuchNoise.com before next march so we can set that up. Would love to get some bands to do a few songs for the site live from their van, car or whatever.

Featured Band For Windows Desktop

We have a Featured Band Windows Desktop Gadget now. It’s similar to the iGoogle gadget I posted about a few weeks ago. The Featured Band gadget is a small music player that sits on your desktop or sidebar (Windows 7 or Vista only) and will feature a new band from our site every day so you can listen to all their songs. We used to call it “Band of the Day” but admittedly, that kind of sucked. So I changed it to "Featured Band". Josh is supposed to be in charge of “cool” on the site but I guess he let that one slip through the cracks. Anyway, this one is going to be big. It just launched yesterday and already has over 100 downloads. We try to give most bands a chance to be featured. A new band is chosen every day from the top 50% ranked bands. It doesn’t take much to get there. The best way is link to your profile so your fans will come and rate your music. Also, you must have a profile picture to be considered, just to keep it looking nice. Go here to download and if you like it please rate it! -david

Hey guys, this was a while back BUT, being that Trust Company has a brand spankin new album out on Itunes, I figured it was time to release this! I had an opportunity to head to ATL a few months back to hang out at the filming of the new "Heart In My Hands" video. It was a super long shoot and I don't thing we went to bed til 3:30 or maybe even 4, But as usual kev and I had a blast. Love that guy and that band. Los Angeles based band Drive A stopped by The Brick Room during a nation wide tour a few weeks ago for a killer acoustic set. They have a new record about to drop in spring '11, The World in Shambles, out on Dead Conflict Records. The World in Shambles is the follow up to their debut album Loss of Desire (2009). We had a blast recording this Auburn, Alabama band the other day in The Brick Room. Bottle up and Explode has a catchy 50's-ish sound with a modern twist.. "lucy" stuck in my head for like 9 straight days after we did this shoot...killer song.
